Results, Part 1

Ok, here we go…

Dr Eshun called tonight and told us some good news.  Jack’s bone marrow is coming up negative for Neuroblastoma so far. Also, the sight that showed up positive before (where his main tumor sight was) is totally gone.  There is nothing left…this is great.  So here is the “grey area”…they have 2 questionable spots that we are going to have rescanned. One is on his skull and the other is on his right orbital bone.  This is very confusing because it could be nothing, it could be something. It could have been there before, it could be new.  Dr. Eshun was in a class all day today and by the time he got out, the main radiologist was gone and he was not able to go through the scans with him.  Eshun is very good at what he does and he is very thorough with everything.  He will go through this with a fine tooth comb and figure it all out.  He said that either way, cancer or not, he is not changing his outlook on Jack.  Jack has come a long way and done so well that he is not changing anything.

What does this all mean?  Well, we go in at 7:30 AM tomorrow for a PET scan and then we go in next week for a bone scan and a MRI of his skull.  Dr. Eshun will review everything and also send out for a 2nd opinion from Dr. Kushner at Sloane Kettering since he is who we went to for a 2nd opinion in the beginning.  If it it cancer, they will not call it a relapse because his marrow is clean and so it is main tumor sight.  Like I said before, this could be nothing…so PLEASE, PLEASE pray for Jack extra hard tonight.  He has come such a long way and he is such a fighter.  Even if it is cancer, he will still kick the crap out of it.  We are staying positive, so you have to as well.

This amazing young man has the fight and courage of a lion. The fact the Lord stands beside him makes him unstoppable. My family and I have now doubt that whatever it is Jack will chew it up spit out and kick it to the side. The Lord has a much bigger plan for this special young man. Never under estimate Jacks will, courage and heart because it is larger than life. This cancer learned it the hard way! WE LOVE YOU JACK ,THE ROSELLINI FAMILY

Agreed with Nana! Luigi will help with the fireballs. Jack you have come such a long way and you continue to amaze your family, friends, and even your doctors and nurses. I know we will hear that these “areas” are nothing. Thankful for Dr. Eshun being so thorough..he is great! We are bombarding God with lots and lots more prayers, soon we will be celebrating NED! You are a fighter and you are my inspiration, I love you so much. You have so many people pulling for you and I know it is all going to be ok. :)

Lots and Lots of love, as I hear your little feet running around up stairs ;)

I feel this is great news and we will stay very positive that this is what we have all been waiting to hear, the cancer is gone! We did kick the crap out of it, I mean Jack did! We must keep visualizing this like Nana says, “Luigi throwing fireballs at cancer” Let’s blast the neuro out of neuroblastoma!

Thinking of all of you as always and praying too.

Love to all of you Mortons xoxoxoxoxoxoxo

There’s absolutely no way we could be anything BUT positive! We will continue to pray for Jack and for your whole family! Jack is a beautiful (sorry Dad!) little boy with amazing strength and optimism, Braden is quite the little fighter and you and Zac…well, let me just say that I just don’t know if I could be as optimistic and strong as you have been! You are an amazing family – thank you for sharing your journey with all of us and thank you for blessing us with the opportunity to go to the throne of grace in prayer for your entire family! Love, peace, healing and blessings to you all from Pflugerville, TX.

Jack and your entire family continue to be in our constant thoughts and prayers. We will just keep placing Jack before the Lord and the Lord will heal him completly. We just have to keep the faith and keep sending all our positive energy to Jack.

  7. Nana says:

I will continue to pray for his complete healing. In my heart, I feel this is nothing – maybe calcification – ? I also heard that visualization can be very effective. Maybe if we think of Luigi throwing fire balls at cancer. :) But in the end, God will heal him. I feel certain of this.

  8. Leigh says:

Laurie, please remember all of Jack’s prayer warriors tonight who are reading this news and feeling just as optimistic as ever! Great news for Jackeroni! As for the two spots, it’s nothing, it’s nothing, it’s nothing, that’s my prayer tonight and all weekend long. I am so sorry that you weren’t able to get all the answers tonight. I can’t imagine how painful it must be to have to wait even another minute. Thinking of all of you tonight and praying for a positive resolution as soon as possible!
